i plan to have lap band surgery with this dr. if anyone cares to comment please reply.. thanks diane.

I'd like to know also since it looks like the only way I can have this surgery is in Mexico too. Anyone out there?

It's hard to get anyone around here to understand a decision to go to Mexico. Seems the thinking is that American doctors are the best, etc. and no one anywhere else is nearly as good. You see this on tv, magazines and then the same people turn around and do expose' on American doctors and hospitals!! But no one seems to get beyond the thinking that you can't get the medical care/quality outside the US. But a lot of the procedures and meds we have were first tested outside the US way before they came here. You have to be careful no matter who you go to. Thanks for helping!

I went to Dr R-I had the Lap RNY though. They are wonderful there. I had my lap rny on jan 27,2004. I am doing very well. heather post lap rny jan 27 253/215/140
