Need Dr. Near Cancun

I am going on vacation at the end of the month to Cancun/Playa Del Carmen. I am 5 months post-op and would like to find out who the Dr's are in the area that do bariatric surgery (just in case I have a complication). I would hate to be in Mexico with a problem and not be able to find someone with the right backround to treat me. Please help.

Dawn - did you have your surgery in Mexico? If so, I say just take a record of your surgery ( in spanish) and your surgeon's cell phone number. Show these to any doctor if you have to see one and you should be fine. If you had your surgery in USA, I would suggest having a spanish translation made of your surgical procedure , any precautions, and any complications you have had plus any allergies you have. Take that with you and I would think you would be fine. - Jody
