Hello all.

I am just beginning my journey. I am a 31 year old male without insurance. My current weight is 365lbs and I am 5'9". That converts to a 53.9 BMI.

I live in New York and the cost for a self pay VSG procedure in the area and surround areas is $20,000+. Slightly cheaper in NJ but roughly still the same.

I have come across many different options regarding having the procedure done in MX, and the companies I see consistantly are alighterme, belitewight and endobariatrics.

When I search them on here, most of the posts that get returned are from 2013 and earlier. I am looking for more up to date information, and reviews.

I know what are you going through, in my experience i can tell you i took the best decision when i went to do the procedure in Mx, i have my VSG done with Dr Ramos Kelly in Tijuana Mx, great experience, great staff. I used beliteweight and have no regrets! I had Surgery in Juarez with Dr. Rodriguez in 2016 and have no regrets whatsoever and have had no complications. I'm happy to answer whatever questions you have.

Check out Mexicali Bariatric Center. They are highly reputable, do amazing work, and are NOT an assembly-line center doing way too many surgeries per day.
