I am interested in finding a SAFE doctor
My husband is using Dr. Gonzalez - who works with Dr. Camelo - and having it done at Florence Hospital. There is a lot of advice out there for the patient - but how about the support person? Did your daughter have any trouble sleeping or finding food? Is there anything near the hospital?
Thanks!!!
Hi Sherrie, I was also under the impression that Dr. Gonzalez worked with or alongside Doctor Camelo, but that is not so. I don't believe they even know each other. I know because I was originally having my surgery through a company called Medical Tourism Corporation which is in the Philippines (but claims to be in Texas), in the end I didn't go through them but booked with doctor Camelo with his team directly and I asked about his connection with doctor gonzalez. He said he knows who doctor gonzalez is but has never worked with him. I suggest that you ask a lot of questions from your facilitating company because this has come up a couple of times with the people in my Facebook support group.
My daughter was well looked after because of my coordinators, Veronica and Cynthya, they took care of everything for her. They took her to get her meals, took her shopping, made sure she had everything she needed. The rooms at Florence hospital have a guest bed and a recliner which are pretty comfortable. Make sure you have an on-site coordinator, that makes all the difference in the world.
Hope to have answered your question. Good luck to you and your husband on his surgery.
Thanks you for all the detail. I will be having revision there with Dr. Valasquez next week. Do they give you pain pills for afterwards ? I have very long planes rides home and layovers in airports. I am worried about pain. I usually don't take pain meds but this worries me. If there is wifi, will I be able to watch Netflix on an iPad?
Thank you for the great detail. Helps ease my mind! I too have chosen Dr Mario. My surgery date is Feb 14..
Just wondering how you are doing? Did you get Gerd?
hope to talk soon!
I did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Alejandro Lopez. At first it was between him and A Lighter Me but I found the staff at A Lighter Me too pushy and felt that they just wanted my money. I was sleeved August 20th 2014 by Dr. Alejandro Lopez and have had great success and no complications! His staff is awesome and took care of my from the moment I landed in San Diego until they brought me back. I would definitely recommend him to anyone without hesitation. Good luck to you and follow your gut instinct :)
