Interest in Mexicali Bariatric Center! Id love to meet someone who got a VSG there!

Hello everyone! I am very interested in getting a VSG in Mexico. Specifically, I have come across glowing reviews about Mexicali Bariatric Center. If anyone has gotten any WLS there, please comment! I'd love to chat with you. I'm a medical student in Kentucky and have a few questions about your experience. Thanks!

I had my procedure there by Dr. Alberto Aceves Dec 2010. Sadly Dr. Aceves died in a plane crash about a year ago. But I can share the experience with you (very positive) if interested.  

Starting weight 299 lbs (date of Surgery) in 8 months I got down to 189 lbs today (7/2015) I'm up to 209 lbs.

Megan, Good morning. I recovered very fast. then again I am a very active person. A couple of hours after surgery, I started walking around. I walked about four times a day. When I got home three days later, I walked 3 miles every day. 8 days after surgery, I went hiking. I had no complications and i am actually loosing weight at a study pace. I am at 206. Starting weight was 222. I will do it all over again. Please reconsider the VSG, you will gain all the weight back

Where are you at with this?

I had a VSG with Dr. Aceves in Sept. 2011, and a revision on August 6th this year with Dr. Ungson. Both very positive experiences. No complications with either.

I'm actually getting a sleeve at MBC in less than 2 weeks!!!! I'm very excited!
