Pre-op Diets- (how long?)

I'm going for VSG on Dec 3rd, and was told to do the pre-op diet for 7 days in total before the surgery. 5 days pre-op, and then 2 days liquid only.

For anyone else that has had this surgery, how many days did you have to do your pre-op diet?  Does your starting weight, BMI, age have any bearing on the length of time we are told to do the diet?

it is simply surgeons preference. They are all individual people and all have different ideas of what works. Starting weigh often has an impact but many surgeons do the same pre op for all the patients. I had a week of 5 shakes and one lean and green meal then a week of clear liquids.
