Just got sleeved by dr Ramos Kelly
I was sleeved yesterday at the hospital nova by dr Ramos Kelly. Everything seems to be going good. I had surgery about 3pm I don't remember much until about 9pm that night. I was a little groggy but not much pain at all. I walked to the bathroom twice that night the nurses helped me stand up but I could walk fine. I have probably walked 3 or more hours in the hall today. I have a little gas pain but no surgery pain, all of my incisions feel fine. Dr kelly checked on me this morning and all was well. One of the coordinators came in and checked on me and faby has been messaging me on Facebook. I will get my leak test tomorrow and I will post again to see how that goes.
The leak test went great. I stayed 2 nights at the hotel lucerna, that is a very nice hotel. The day after my leak test I walked to the mall it is 1/2 mile from the hotel I played a little in the casino and lost and then we walked around the mall for a couple hours. We did take a taxi back. I have felt fine the whole time so far no problems. It has been 1 week today since surgery I did get in 60 grams of protein and 48 ounces of water. That is the best I have done so far it does get easier every day. I have still not been hungry and I haven't even chewed anything in 12 days lol.
I had my sleeve done by Dr. Kelly on March 21st. He is great and the leak test is no problem. Good luck and Congrats! The scariest part is the driving down there lol! The hotel is really pretty too, check out the pool! And make sure when you call the front desk for broth you tell them you are a bariatric patient and you will get a big bowl of broth and a Popsicle. Yay congrats!!
I am still doing fine. no problems at all. I am down 84 pound since surgery 04/10/14 and down 108 total. so I am averaging more than a pound a day but it has started to slow down. I am down 4 pants sizes and have gone from a xxxlt shirt to a xl. I have not cheated on the diet even 1 time. I have no desire for food and I only eat for the protein. I do get woke up with leg cramps a few times a week but I am not sure if it is related to surgery or not.
