Revision on 05/01/14

Alright! I leave bright and early April 30 and have surgery on May 1.  This surgery is actually a revision and I will be so happy when it's done. I had RNY about 10 years ago.  I did great- lost the weight and became an athlete for the first time in my life!  Then about a year ago I started getting major pain and discomfort that went away/lessened when I ate.  A short while later I found myself feeling famished for the first time in a long time.  And I was hungry ALL THE TIME.  I was miserable. It turned out I had an ulcer that broke through my pouch. Ulcer is healed now and I have a post surgery plan for ulcer avoidance in the future, but I gained a ton of weight in a short time.    Since my insurance sucks and didn't cover the original surgery, a revision certainly isn't covered, I'm off to Mexico to repair my RNY.

I healed very quickly from the first surgery and I desperately hope I heal well from this one... In particular because I am a business owner and could only get 6 days off after the surgery.  Anyone return to work so soon after their surgery?
