I am scheduled to have a gastric bypass next month in TJ with Dr.Elias Ortiz at Mi Doctor Hospital. I am a bit nervous as I don't see many reviews for people having the bypass performed in TJ. It appears that majority are having the gastric sleeve. Have you had the RNY performed in TJ?

Hi, I had the Gastric Sleeve last year with Dr. Ponce In TJ. In my opinion you should strongly reconsider having a gastric Sleeve Since its a much Simple and much more effective WLS (weight loss surgery).

I Think that Dr. Ponce Is the best Bariatric Surgeon In TJ , He is recognized worldwide for his expertise in Bariatric Dr. Ponce has full team of trained surgeons here in Mexico,  and has performed thousands of Bariatric procedures with a less than 0.00003% complication rate.

I Stronlgy Recommend you contact his Patient Coordinator (TRISH) by email : [email protected] OR by phone : 661-886-4617

I hope this Info Helps you Very much :)

I've been thinking the same thing!. This whole time my mind has been made up to get "the gold standard" of WLS (the RNY).

It seems most if not all of the surgeons mentioned frequently on here (Aveces, Ortiz, Kelly, Ponce de Leon, etc) all specialize in the sleeve. Looks like 1) imma have to do more hw on the sleeve vs Rny and 2) gotta look up these doctors and the different hospitals they use.

Let me know if u get any good info and I'll do the same.  ;-)

I had the rny with Dr.Elias Ortiz on March 18. He is fully knowledgeable in all wls. There were several other ladies having bypass with him, while i was there. I am so happy i went with A Lighter Me. Royal treatment. if you have any questions you can call me (858) 568-2177.

That's good to hear. Thanks. I am going to check out your YouTube channel tonight while I work my over nights weekend job later tonight.

Omg I saw that you had a bit off complications. Did your insurance cover that hospital stay?  I had complications fRom the tonsillectomy I had Nov.  2013. Clotting and hemmoraging. I think it was mostly because of me not staying hydrated.  This is one of my concerns if I get surgery not near my home.
