Savoury Food Ideas?

My surgery is Oct 28 and I'm thinking ahead about tasty possibilities for pre-op and post-op food. The Problem? I really hate sweet, creamy stuff and so am looking for other tastes that will still fill the criteria of being easily portable and doesn't need to be refrigerated.

I see that Optifast has some soups, but they need to be mixed up and heated. Has anyone come up with any solutions to this problem? I can't be the only one who got fat on salty and crunchy tasting foods.

All suggestions will be gratefully accepted. If it isn't possible, I will just hold my nose and choke down chocolate or vanilla, but I'd really rather not. Thanks all.

Pat

Unjury has a chicken soup flavored protein powder, and I know several people who bought regular soup and strained it to get the broth for the clear liquid stage.  There are also boxed soups you can buy that are totally pureed that would work in the full liquid stage.

All good ideas. Funny how your mind gets into one category (meal replacement) and totally forgets to make the leap to easy obvious alternatives like the whole range of dried pureed soups. I suppose I could just buy some good protein powder and dump it into the soup to up the protein and nutrition.

Thanks so much, Pat
