So I have been communicating with Christy with Mexico Bariatric Center. Has anyone used Dr. Ponce? If not, who did you use? What was the cost? I would love to have the surgery within the next few months and I want to gather as much information as possible. Thanks!

Have you figured out which Doctor you want? Are you getting the DS done?

I used him for the switch part of the dS. I was sleeved three years ago and decided to do the switch this year. I was pleased with him and his care.

My cost would not help you since I already had the sleeve when I went.

I am getting the sleeve done.  I'm not really sure what the DS is but I will google it to find out.

I would recommend researching it. My BMI is high and need to lose the weight and KEEP IT OFF. The best way to do that (in my mind) is with the DS (Duodenal switch) surgery. I was all for the gastric bypass until I came across someone on here talking about DS and I googled it and never looked back. DS all the way!!!

Glad to hear you had a good experience with him. Thanks!

what is DS?

DS stands for Duodenal switch surgery and in my personal opinion the best surgery for someone with a high BMI that wants the weight gone and for it to stay gone forever.
