Is It Weird????
I'm amazed that I feel as good as I do. I've really been following the post op diet to a T. No pain, no fatigue, I do get a little winded when I go out for my twice daily walks, but each day gets a little easier. Today is one week since my surgery and I guess there was a part of me that was waiting for the horrible part of this to begin.
What I guess I knew deep down was my addiction to food wasn't going to go away and wishing that I could eat whatever I wanted would still be there. This is a fresh start, reset button and I'm going to embrace all this new tool has to offer.
Thanks for lisitening!!!!!
I too have been waiting for the other shoe to drop, I am 5 weeks our and feel terrific! I still count calories and am eating between 500 and 600 a day. I work full time and have had plenty of energy The only time I feel tired is when I excercise. Understandable given the amount of food I am eating. So I just take it slow. I hope you took your measuerments1 as well as track your weight. I have found that although I have only lost 25 pounds so far I Have lost 4 inches off my hips and waist and two inches of my thighs and arms. Best of all I lost an inch and a half off my neck. My face is starting to look really good! I had a plateau at about three weeks and stopped loosing for abut 10 days. Thats when a friend told me to check the inches! I am so glad I did because it really helped me get over the hump, Make sure you get your 64 grams of protien each day. Im still doing the shakes even though I can eat real food I am more comfortable with the shakes at work.
Thanks for your post and congratulations of the beginning of a wonderful new life
