Just back from Mexicali!

Hello all!  Just wanted to check in and let everyone know I am back home from Mexico!  I was sleeved Nov 23rd with Aceves at Almater Hospital.  My experience there met and exceeded all my expectations.  I feel wonderful and am so glad I made the decision to go!  

I was sleeved there on Nov 22nd. Sorry I missed meeting you.. good luck and glad all went well...

Hello, I am just now starting my research, considering on going to Mexico for the sleeve, since my insurance does not cover it.  Would you mind sharing what you full cost has been for surgery, travel and all?  I heard it was alot cheaper.  Thanks,  cyndie_sue

How much weight have you lost and how do you feel?

I had my VSG done by Dr Aceves in June. My costs were airfare, plus 8750 for transport, testing, 1 night in a nice hotel, surgery, 3 nights in hospital with excellent care, plus about $200 to cover dinner the night before surgery, meals for my hubby in the hospital cafeteria, PPI and pain Meds to bring home and tips for driver and hotel.

Thanks for sharing Kelly.....I've been seeing adds for around 4,800.00 which is slightly cheaper that what you paid.  Of course that was not including airfare.  Hoping to not go over $5,000.00-$6,000.00. Glad to hear you had a good experience. So far I've been seeing nothing but good about going over to Mexico.
