Sorry I haven't been on here in a while! Everything went great! I am almost a year out and this is the best thing I've ever done! I'm at goal and going awesome. So very very happy!

So glad to hear you are at goal. I am going to have to reschedule. I am so bummed. I contacted Cathy and let her know I still want to do it within the next 6 months. What did you think about the hospital. I would be going to Mi Hospital, which one did you go to?

This post probably will never make it but I had the surgery on March 6th came home with alot of pain was told by the doctor that it was a stitch that was by my rib to apply ice well I decided to go to my doctor instead was given an mri and was told that I had an access was taken to duke hospital where exploratory surgery was done and was going that the stomach that was supposed to be removed was left inside my stomach and caused me to get an abcess so needless to say I have a hole in my stomach that has to be changed 3 times a week

Mike - that is terrible.   I am so sorry you are going through this.   I am 2 months out,  and so far so good.   I can tell you though I was paranoid of everything.  I really wish you the best.   Please keep us updated.

Your post is very hard to read.  Could you edit it so we understand what the problem was?  Did you have drains placed?  Those that don't have drains can be at greater risk of an abscess due to the collection of fluid in the area were the stomach was.  Having a hole that doesn't heal well at the incision site where the stomach is removed thru.  Well not common it pops up here on the boards even to be not uncommon.  It can happen with all the WLS also.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I had the drain as I stated the specimen was left in my stomach which caused me to undergo emergency surgery and get the sleeve done in the usa so again let me clear this up Dr Lopez left the stomach he was supposed to remove inside my stomach which caused me to have an abcess so now I am homebound lost my job and have a wound vac hooked to my stomach so the wound can heal from the inside out the pain is awful and never once was I offered my money back for this botched surgery
