Dr Kelly sleevers from 2010-2011
I use to follow two of his patients and never see them post anymore and can't remember their names. One was a student in nursing I think and the other was from Ontario or Quebec, Canada. Just wondering how you guys are doing.
8.5 months here, down 90 and stuck in a forever stall. Will the ball get rolling again or what? I am 600-800 calories, under 40 g of carbs, 96oz plus water a day, walk 6 miles most days, protein is up over 80 most days. I did try upping my carbs and calories and still nothing?
Any advise will be appreciated.

I am still pre op but I am constantly amazed at how many people are aiming for such low calorie levels post op. I've seen some people totally change up what they are eating and how, and break their stalls. Your caloric intake is very very low - perhaps try to increase that a little bit? Your body is probably in starvation mode. Do you have a NUT you can talk to?
No I don't, and from hearing what some NUTS say to do without understanding the VSG I would rather not go to some that are not experienced.
I have tried upping my carbs, tried upping my calories and back to normal routine to see if that helped and nothing.
I am just wondering how the long term post op people that have had the same surgeon are doing, it has been awhile since I have seen any of them that I use to follow.

I'm only 6.5 months out so I'm not sure how to help. I used Dr Kelly and have contacted him several times since surgery. He responded very quickly. You might contact him and get some suggestions. I am losing slow but steady. It is amazing to me because it is all I ever wanted to do for the past 35 years! Good luck with your journey.
Yes I know he responds quickly, I just want to hear how the other sleevers were doing. Either they changed their pictures or don't post anymore. I think my scale is moving again, weighing day is Monday but I took a quick peek today but will wait to see if it continues. I know it is or was a stall and came to realize I have to step up my work out routine because I don't think I am getting my heart rate up for any length of time that would make much of a difference. Also going in to see my Dr this coming week to get some labs done and some other questions. Going for a referral as well for plastics but the wait time is long so hopefully by the time I get in there I will be closer to my goal.
