Hello Everyone,

I am having a Gastric Sleeve with Dr. Mario Almanza in Tijuana, Mexico on May 31st.  I know I have to do this and I have paid my deposit.  But now all of a sudden i am getting nervous and scared!!!!  I have done A LOT of research on him and Jerusalem Hospital.  I know the hospital is really a clinic in a strip mall and I am fine with that.  All the reviews i have read say it is clean and Dr. Almanza is very knowledgable and professional.  I just want to hear from someone that has gone there and actually had the procedure done.  Anyone on here been there???  What was your experience???

I am work, and really should not be using the computer for this right now, so I am going to send this short note now, but later I plan to revisit this question to give more details...

I short I loved Dr. Alamanza,, he is young, charismatic, and loves what he does.. and because of his low cost , he does more than any other surgeon,, but my estimation. While I was there I saw clients with all the typical medical complaints that are associated with obesity, heart disease, diabetes, poor circulation, just a few to mention.. These are diagnosis that usually can complicate a serious surgery, and in some cases prevent some from even having them. I was impressed with this doctor, he knows what he is doing... I would do it again in a heart beat.

gotta go,, talk more later..

Thank You so much Msbfree for the honest feedback.  I know for sure I have to get this done and with the cost being what it is in the States i don't feel i should pay $14,000+ for something i can get for $4500 nor do i want to.  I have a peace about my decision and I am going for it.  I am scheduled for surgery on May 31st and I know all will be well with me.  I pray for those who have had complications and know that what they went through was real.  However, I can't base my decision on what others have gone through.  I have to do what I KNOW is right for me.  GOD will make all grace abound towards me.

I am sooo excited !!!!!  When I have my surgery I will make sure I post my experience on this site in hopes that it will help someone else make a quality decision as well.

The Best is Yet to come.........

I would like to have my procedure with Dr. Almanza as well. But I just do not have the finances. God bless you!!

Hey Lisa S.  I sure will pray for you.  I have been wanting to get this procedure for YEARS!!!!  I mean for YEARS and the door finally opended for me to do it this year.  Thank you so much for agreeing with me and I agree with you as well.  GOD said that HE will give us the desired of our heart and that he is concerned about the things that concern us.  He will make a way for you where there is seemingly no way.  I speak it over your life!!!!

I will keep you posted.  Thanks again.

Hey!!!!!
My surgery went very well.  I am back at home now and moving forward.  You know how it feels when you first have the surgery and how the gas feels in your abdomen.  I took the medicine they gave me from the hospital and the gas feels much better today.  Now I am ready to lose this weight.  I am still on the clear liquid diet and will be on it for two weeks post op and then i'm goinf to move to the puree's and stay on that for two weeks.

Any information you an help me with will be great!!!
