Canadians traveling to Mexico for surgery

That is strange!  I am sure if the surgeons did not keep the info they can at least write you some type of report to please the doctor.  My surgeon (Dr. Ponce De Leon) gave me a video of my surgery as well as swallow test, and two of my sleeve sisters are from Canada, so I guess they can show the actual surgery to the doctor, I wonder if that will be good enough?  LOL  Good luck with all of that!

Never once had any issuses with any doctors. I did however give my " surgical reports " to my doctor. He wants to follow me and do a study on the vsg as it's not big in Canada like the gastric bypass.. Good luck

      That is really too bad. We do many patients from all over Canada and always supply them with their surgery report, follow up barium swallow x-ray films and in addition maintain  their surgery records should they lose the original given them at the time of surgery. All they need to do is contact their Patient Facilitator or Dr. Kuri's office directly and reports are sent to them the same day as requested. Good point though for those who are considering having their surgery in Mexico.

I am ok, just thought I would share the information with others so they can get everything that a doctor should have to follow up their care.

I think for the record every surgeon should keep everyone's file for a few years post op anyways incase they run into problems post op. This way at least they have something to follow up on.
