Has anyone had a procedure done since Dr. Kelly and Trish parted ways?

Just doing my usual fretting

I was wondering if the experience was the same without her involved as far as hospitals, transportation, etc. Will I need to do any coordinating on my own other than flights? And when did the split happen?

Found somebody who just had it done a few days ago...she has several videos of the hospital, hotel, etc. Says that Dr. Kelly and his wife do much of the coordinating personally now. Seems like everything is the same except that there are no middle women (brokers) involved in the process anymore. The hospital and hotel seem very very nice. I'll post that person's video link if I can find it again. It's late here and I REALLY should be asleep - not on the computer

I have met Trish when I was there, I didn't have her as a coordinator though. She is a sweetie that is for sure. I think everything is fine there with Dr Kelly looking in on you at the hotel after the hospital stay. I never had any problems. You are there for surgery and to rest.

Excellent video, Alyse is a beautiful girl and I felt bad for her during the 2nd day post op when her emotions got in the way. I honestly didn't feel too bad at all, day 1 post op I got a migraine and that was the worse then and the drain but I really didn't find much pain. Yes I have heard of others that had lots of pain though. I guess compared to c-sections this is nothing.

Yep - my husband reminded me of the open incision complete hysterectomy I had in 2006 and he figured it had to be easier than that! Glad you're doing well!

hi everyone! I am 2 days post op. Dr. Kelly performed my vsg on Monday. Trish was not my coordinator and everything went well. He and his assistant Anaid were very accomadating. I also met his wife. She was nice as well. The staff at Florence hospital were attentive and accomodating to all my needs. They kept my incisions clean and I was never uncomfortable. I'm here @ Hotel Lucerna now. The hotel is great. I want to come back an visit for vacation. Anything you want to know, I will try to answer for you. Oh and I have no pain and I didn't need a drainage. And word to the wise. Bring gas x for the slight gas pain you may have after surgery.
