Hi, I am going with Dr. Alberto Aceves in January. The patient coordinator is Nina. She works directly in the hospital, not as a third party company. (coordinators are sorta like a travel agent, they book you were you want to go, like through a medical tourism site.)
You can contact them directly through the website link, and you will get a response back within hours. She is awesome, and very quick with her responses. Sometimes I think she works 24 hours a day and no question is too stupid or troublesome.
If your research Dr. Aceves, you'll find he works directly out of private hosptial which specializes in many surgical areas. It is up to date, with all the latest technology, clean, and he has performed over 3000 surgeries. He is also the president of bariatrics in Mexico.
You are better to research each surgeon thoroughly first. Once you have decided on the one you want then you can contact them directly. This is more guaranteed that you will get the surgeon you want and not end up with someone else unexpectedly.
Once know who you want to go with, ask on the main board or on the surgery you want board and see what feed back you get from there. Many people went to Mexico and will be happy to chime in with any info regarding their experience.
Good luck. You can message me if you have any more questions.

Its not with or without a coordinator. There is no need for a third party coordinator like a Medical Tourism company. Doctors have their own full or part time coordinator in their office usually if they are used to having American or Canadian patients.
