HELP ME
The best suggestion for information I can give is here on the DS forum and www.dsfacts.com. For vitamin info, go to www.vitalady.com, she has a DS package list, you may be able to find some of the vites locally but for me living in Canada I ordered my dry ADEK's and magnesium citrate from Vitalady-she has really quick delivery and the prices are good. It is so important that you get and start taking the recommended vitamins as soon as possible as your life is literally on the line. You will also need to have regular lab work every 3 - 6 months so connect with your Dr. and advise that you'll need it and it is non-negotiable. Larissa from this forum has a link to some excellent documents including what you'll need for blood work. Read, read and read some more - basically I've been reading on this forum since I got home from Mexico, you can also search for info as well.
I am, at least once a day. The guideline with the DS is to be getting 30gms of protein by 30 days, 60gms by 60 days and 90gms by 90 days - working up to at least 100gms per day. Our tummies are pretty tiny right now and my protein drink gives me a head start of 32gms each day. I'm finding it's a slow process working up to 60gms because there just isn't enough room in my stomach for a lot of food. For each meal, I eat protein first and if there's room I'll try and eat some veggies or rice. It is nice not to have to worry about fats though! Although everyone is different the general percentages for what we absorb are 20% of fats, 50% of protein, 60% of carbs and 100% of simple sugars. I do know that Dr Almanza gave us a 200cm common channel.
