When you traveled to Mexico did you
I got down there and about went berserk when it suddenly dawned on me I had FORGOTTEN my passport, which is SOO unlike me my sister thought I was kidding. I wcalled my coordinator at 10:30 pm, and she told me not to worry, it would be fine and happens all the time. While I do NOT recommend going without one, just because something crazy could happen (as in 9/11, when I was on vacation) to make the border really tight, it is a fact that no matter what the law is, going into Mexico you don't gety checked, and coming back, my driver assured me that only a few of the guards would send you to secondary questioning, but you can still get in if you don't have a criminal past. He was correct-the guard just looked at my driver's license and let me in .Offiially, you MUST have a passport or the Passport card to get in. If you are going, I'd get the card if you don't plan on ever flying into any non-usa countries, if you do you need the full passport.
