What more to pay for

I have a question , outside of the procedure cost what more do I have to pay for to have Lap Band do in Mexico? Ex: food, Plane tickets, cab fee, etc?

I only had to pay for my roundtrip airplane ticket which was 321.00. I would say save 400.00 for that but if you get it cheaper great. you will also have to stay in San Diego for one night so you need hotel fare. That cost me about a 100. I say do your research tho when it comes to the lapband. I see alot of people getting revisions on here. There was a woman who I met at Dr. Almanza's that was going from  a lapband to a sleeve. With the sleeve you get it and that's it but with the lapband you have to keep going back for fills and that cost money. If you have anymore questions please pm me I would be happy to help.

Please make sure you have after care arranged in US for your Mexican lapband. A lot of docs will not care for you so you need to get that in order first.

Most docs will do a package deal. Airfare probably out of the deal and most patient coordinators will give you the rides to and from the airport.

 We paid for the plain tickets and upgraded our room to an ocean view room and 3 extra nights; we had a mini vacation along with it . I went to puerto Vallarta and it was nice. The cab to and from the hospital and frim the airport was included.

I didnt have lapband done, I had gastric sleeve.  I paid  for my airfare, I tipped the cab driver anywhere he took me, after I left the hospital and stayed in the hotel for two days I paid for my own broth and gatorade.  Other than that, I didnt really need much money.  My meds were included in the original price and my companion was fed for the 2 days I was in the hospital.  HTH
