advice anyone???

I am planning on having my surgery in Jan in Mexico. A DR. here in the states said to make sure they use the AP band as it is bigger and will help prevent slippage and erosion. Well i talked to the Dr. in Mexico and they use the Allergan 4cc band. So my question is how do i know if that will be big enough for me? I don't want to get a band that has limitations and not be able to get enough fills to reach the sweet spot.

Hi Deb,

I am not trying to steer you away from your decision to get the band, but I want to make sure you have done all your research.  There are lots of complications with the band (any band) with slippage and erosion - not to mention gaining the weight back in the long turn.  Just please do your research - I would opt for the VSG over the band given all the research.  If you choose to stay with the band, I still wish you the best of luck and the greatest of success!
