Why is it considered "odd" if a person chose not to list any particular surgery option, perhaps the person is yet undecided or like myself...in support of a possible future WLS patient. Considering what's been happening here I must wonder is it suspicion of myself that drives you to question that minor fact.
hey, look you got an avatar!  after being on OH for a year.

yes, it is odd. look around, people almost always have a surgery type listed even if they are pre-op.

doesn't mean you aren't legit, just means it was unusual.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Excuse me...

If you knew anything about me you'd be aware this is actually my 4th avatar (copyright material or too explicit are No No's according to OH terms..OOPS!). As such I stopped attempting new avatars for a bit since it got me nowhere and the wife complained about them a bit too.

Unusual or not I've seen plenty of OH members in Canada not list any surgery until later as they progressed to committing themselves to a particular surgeon. Perhaps.. could it be they may actually be like myself who's just supporting a tentative WLS patient.

Wow casting suspicions on the odd one out for not conforming.

Agreed. But there are two issues here.

Two coordinators using this forum for their own personal venue for free advertising and the other issue is that there are sooo many people that have been in the hospital for months and months due to the horrors they experienced with one doctor and either they or their family members are the ones seriously needing support.

Instead of complaining perhaps you should reach out to those that are critically ill and close to death or were close to death and see if you can help them. Often times we gain support by helping others in need.

I noticed that you have an aged ID, no posting history here, and no profile. I would encourage you to tell us a bit about yourself instead of coming here new to the boards and telling us everything wrong with the MX forum. What do you think?

Hi. I've considered how best to reply to your comments without engaging an argument. There are likely plenty whom have aged IDs(never realized it was such a big deal), no or little posting history(come on seriously with the postings lately who'd actually be gun ho to do that) and a private profile(simple solution just ask to be a friend)...

As for my story I am WLS undecided. My wife puts it best - I can't grip my big manly head around my decision for WLS because my big tum tum and fast food get in my way. Lol.

Otherwise, I am here supporting and assisting a very lovely & dear friend in the beginning stages of researching WLS. After her reaction to a few posts during her first experience to OH which just happened to be the Mexico forum of all places, I felt compelled to speak. She is just to polite and mild mannered to ever say such things publicly...a very refreshing quality to have.

For the life of me, I do not understand why people just can not avoid or ignore what they are not interested in.

I find this site helpful... Good, Bad, and Ugly.

Initially it was helpful when trying to determine the most seeked doctors in Mexico.  Then I narrorwed the list by having QA sessions with the doctors on my list of 5 top candidates.  Last I looked at personal experiences and testimonies. After all of that I had my decision.

If this is what you are looking for, this is what you will find.  Sure, there is a lot of drama, sometimes I find it entertaining.

It is all about what you are comfortable with, what risks you are willing to accept.

If you look for drama, you will find drama.  If you are serious about your personal journey, you will choose to read and accept what is needed.
Just My thoughts...

I really agree with you.

also recommend folks don't stick to just one forum. look around there is a LOT here!

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

I've found a great deal of information and support on these boards. I've even found the doctor who's going to perform my revision through my own research and the experiences of others here on OH both good and bad.  Are there folks here with strong personalities?? Yes!!! I find that you have to sift through personality issues and just look for the facts not the feelings. I'll definite support you as I need support myself.

I finally quit cheating on my husband with Ben and Jerry!
