I have totally screwed up my post op diet for the past 2 days!! I was doing soo good for like a week and I can't seem to get back on track!! I feel like such a failure!! I have pretty much eaten every carb and sugary item in site...I even baked a freaking cake! lol Anyone else have such a hard time with this??

The pre op diet was the hardest for me.  Just pick yourself up and try again and don't beat yourself up.  Remember it will be so much easier when you have your teeny tiny tummy.  Huggzzzz to you.

Here is my question for you: Why do you have that stuff in the house?!  No cake mix, no cake.

Funny you should ask...I am currently going to therapy, and my therapist asked what I have done to prepare for my diet. So I told her I ate Mexican! lol  She asked me why I didn't get rid of all the bad food in the house, and I told her I have kids and they need snacks. And she asked Why?? She said, they don't need it and you don't either. She was right, and you are as well!! I am going to make a pact to get rid of ALL of the bad foods in the house TOMORROW! Which is what I should have done a long time ago.

Your kids may need snacks, but they certainly don't need junk!  Having healthy options for snacks now will help you and your kids, so that they can learn healthy habits in childhood and hopefully avoid the path that all of us have gone down

Exactly! And that was one of my reasons for having this surgery was to teach my kids healthier eating habits while they are young. They actually like healthy foods too!

Like I've said before, the pre-op diet was the hardest thing to do. You'll be fine, just get back up and continue doing what you were doing.

Now as for me cleaning your pantries, get all that stuff out and donate it to your local food bank!

I wish getting it out of the house would work with my hubby!! He is a junk food junkie, and buys soooo much CRAP! I get so frustrated with him. It makes it very hard to watch what you are eating when he brings home cookies, cake and snack mixes galore!
