sfasogbon's reply was:
If you were that concerned over the world's safety, then you would do more than "warn" people about the surgeon. You should probably try to take all of your "research" to a lawyer and shut the place down...
Could you be any more dramatic ?

Probably, but THEN I asked, to which you didn't reply....
Statistically, I just don't understand how Dr. Almanza could be such a horrible surgeon. To me, if you are doing the same thing, every day, multiple times a day for years, shouldn't you become pretty good at it after some time? How could he have all these successful surgeries and be such a bad surgeon? A bad surgeon wouldn't have ANY successful surgeries would they? Or does he just get lucky 99% of the time? I doubt an extra $2,000 is going to give me a perfect surgeon that makes absolutely no mistakes. I would love to see the statistics if there is!

The answers to your questions are in different post's on THIS forum, You just have to have the time to go back and see for yourself. That's what I did.
Like I said before, " Your Surgeon Your Choice"
the situation is that there is a price war in the Bariatric community in TJ....It is all about trying to get patients... and it will get worse as the US insurance industry is now covering many more than in years past.... Dr. A is winning this turf war and they are going after him.... if you are a self-pay then this is a great option. while no surgery is always going to be 100% he and his team run a very efficient and cost effective process... I had absolutely no pain.... no gas... walked all around Old Town in San Diego 72 hours later... It was a total win for me and I'm 67... the best of luck to you....

My doc is one of the most expensive docs in MX and he is also one of the busiest docs in mx. My sis tried to schedule surgery for this month and there were three appts left for the entire month.
Some doctors compete by price and some compete by services. My doc competes by services, he doesn't skimp on aftercare, he does things the right way, No 16 y/o's pushing iv morphine, no cooks pulling drains, it is a REAL hospital, it's done the right way.
Your post makes little sense.
You know, I COULD sit there and bash you for your decision on getting the lap band, and tell you how if you would have paid a couple thousand more dollars you could have a successful surgery with less complications. Then I could go on to tell you about all of the risks that go along with the lap band afterward, and tell you stories about all of the people who get a revision from lapband to VSG....BUT, I wont because I realize, that is YOUR decision, not mine. And, I'm sure you have heard it all anyway. :)

You know, I COULD sit there and bash you for your decision on getting the lap band, Yes you could, and I would tell you that back in 2006 when I had my first band put in I thought I knew all there was to know, but hindsight is 20/20. and tell you how if you would have paid a couple thousand more dollars you could have a successful surgery with less complications. This part does not pertain to me since my insurance paid for it 100 %. Not even a co-pay. Then I could go on to tell you about all of the risks that go along with the lap band afterward, and tell you stories about all of the people who get a revision from lap band to VSG....BUT, I wont because I realize, that is YOUR decision, not mine. And, I'm sure you have heard it all anyway. :) You could, but the VSG wasn't really being talked about back then. In fact I don't even recall hearing about it at all.
This is your choice and I'm not going to tell you which surgeon you should pick, I just asked you,
" How do you make the decision to choose a surgeon when there are so many negative post's in regards to him "
I was interested in how you weighed the pros and cons and came to the decision that you came to.
