Dr. Alvarez, Heat and traveling alone....
Hello all,
This may sound like a strange question but, for those of you who have had surgery with Dr. Alvarez or any Mexican surgeon I suppose and traveled alone how did you handle your purse? Did you take one, did they provide a safe?
Next question is heat in June/July. Is the hospital air conditioned (I'm sure it is) but wanted to be positive and did the heat make it harder for you to heal and move around?

Hi, I traveled alone last year to Dr. Almanza in mid June (Tijuana). The heat wasn't bad, clinic and recovery house were AC'ed.
I scaled down everything in my purse. A single credit card and minimal cash. Also, wore only my gold wedding band, jewelry-wise. My belongings were placed in the recovery room and were fine while in surgery.
I am sure someone who has had surgery with Dr. Alvarez will chime in, but I don't think you have much to worry about. Just scale down and carry the essentials.
Good luck.

I just got back from Monterrey two weeks ago. I didn't take a purse. I just didn't want to be lugging it around from terminal to terminal in the airport. I had a little pocket sized pouch that I put everything in.
My friend came with me and she brought a tiny little Dooney and Bourke purse that she carried everywhere with her. It was fine.
While I was in MTY, the heat stayed pretty much in the 90s and we had one 104 degree day. I had irritated skin under my feeding tube and it BURNED when I sweat. But I have extremely sensitive skin. That's the only complaint I had about the heat. The hotel and the hospital were well air conditioned.
