My surgery is scheduled for June 17th!!!!
Congrats! I had to wait six months between scheduling my date and going ,so I so hear ya!
Start drinking 64 oz of fluid a day.
Start now not drinking with eating. It is harder than you think, but easier than you thought it would be when you get it done. does that make sense? LOL
Start cutting out some white carbs and eat more whole grains, fruits and vegs with your protein. Cutting out some of the carbs now will help with your preop diet too.
Cut down/quit sodas, caffeine, alcohol, and smokes,if you use any of them.
Get ready for a great ride.

BTW, I LOVE Chike protein drinks. A little expensive but absolutely delicious!

The shipping for the 5 sample pack ran me $6.95. It arrived with a 25% off coupon good for your first order.
Good Luck!!

Thanks for the suggestion of Chike protein drinks. I ordered the free sample pack and look forward to trying them soon.
So far, I haven't liked any protein drinks I have tried. I'm looking forward to this one. I don't care if it is a little more expensive, if it tastes yummy... it will be worth it!
Thanks again.
XOXOXO,
Christi

I'm really happy for you. It's going to be great. As of today, I'm 3 months out and I've lost 61 pounds. My pant size has changed from a 15-16 to a 9-10. My upper body is still 'fat', so I'll have to keep on going to reduce size up there and improve my heart health. I'm only 5'3" so I have a ways to go. But, it's going well. And, it's going to go very well for you!
All in all, I think I'm doing all right. I'm getting back to where I was 3-4 years ago, which I'm really happy about. I am cautiously optimistic about all of this, only because I know me. But, believe me, I'm very excited for you!
I don't know if you've seen this before, but it's a set of guidelines I've been following, for the most part. It has a vitamin section as well:

Also, the Clinic, has posted some new information (perhaps, only new to me) on its post-op diet, among other things:

You're going to have a blast!
All the best,
Cheryl
