I have taken the leap
Well I really haven't been a major poster but I just wanted to say that I have finally taken the plunge and made my final decision about my Dr and booked my surgery and made my flight arraignments..Kinda feel alittle scared about the flight down there since I really am not a avid flyier BUT I really feel good about my Dr I have chosen and I'm sure I will have a good experience and hopefully by this time next year I will be a new me.

Woo Hoo!!! Congratulations!!
You will never regret your decision. I think you will find that this is the absolute very best decision that you have ever made!!!
I love my sleeve- my only regret is that I didnt do it sooner. I wasted a lot of time and money with the band- but better late than never!!!
Looking forward to sharing the journey with you!!!

Yeah for you! Congratulations on making this next big step! One thing I did that helped me a bit (though heaven knows I lapsed a lot also and enjoyed more than a few food funerals) was to start increasing protein and decreasing carbs in advance of the surgery - it made the pre-op diet manageable and I really didn't have any problem in adjusting to post op eating - other than getting used to the small portions and eating slowly.
Fantastic news!
