3 days prior to surgery - protein shake or not?

I am confused -- can I have my protein shake during the clear liquid phase even though it's not a clear liquid?

I tried to call my cooridnator, but she is out for the day -- I will call her tomorrow, but in the meantime does anyone who has used Dr. Alamanza know the answer?  I don't want to consume anything that I am not supposed to.

 

I won't be using Dr. Almanza, but protein shakes are part of my liquid diet through both the full and the clear phases. I'll be having protein shakes right up to the day of surgery (except when I have to stop drinking altogether after midnight before surgery).

No,protein shakes are not allowed on your 3 day clear liq diet. good luck and can't wait to welcome you to the loser's bench!

There are some clear protein shakes called Isopure. I didn't find them for my clear liquid phase, just did water and jello. It's worth it though, the doc told me how great I did, he could tell from my liver. I thought that it was nice all my hard work paid off.
