I leave on Thursday and I'm packing light but only want to take a carry on...
Congratulations!!! You'll do great. I know you're nervous and excited. My son flies all the time and takes one carry and it has a place for his laptop in it. What airline are you going on and what hotel are you staying at. Maybe after we all have our surgery's we can all meet at a central location or something.
Good Luck!
Sharon
P.S. Keep in touch with your progress

Hey Liz,
It's finally here!! Remember if you are traveling alone.....I can't remember if you are or not...if so, then remember to make sure it will fit under your seat or else you will have to ask some kind stranger to lift it into the overhead bins, as you really cannot lift much after the surgery. I had to lift all my sister's luggage in Jan. In May I will be the lifter when my hubby goes too. So, if you have a traveling buddy, then no big deal, but if alone, be mindful of that on the way back.
Make sure everything you have is 3.4 oz or less, or they WILL throw it away! Only 1 quart size bag, and only one bag per person. Both times I went down to TJ we only had carryons, you just don't need that much stuff!
I have heard they have a lap top at the recovery house now. We took ours but it would not connect to the wi-fi there even with the codes. We lugged it for nothing, and it was heavy! We never really had that much time to use it anyway, you are busy chatting with fellow patients!
Have a great time, and let us all know how things went.
Godspeed
Jean
