I am having my surgery with Dr,. Almanza.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE TO BASH THIS DOCTOR I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR POST!

I was just wondering if anyone has prepaid for their surgery via CC or Finance?  How did that go?

Good morning!

Thank you for your input.  You are so close.  You must be getting excited and nervous all at the same time.  Did you do a pre-op diet?

I have had surgery with him twice, Both times I made a deposit of $1000 and took a cashiers check for the balance. Good luck to you!!!

Thank you Bdette49.
Just had to check on this policy 'cause of "buyer beware."  It's good to know that you have had more than one successful experience.

I'm not using Almanza, but I recently paid for my surgery through wire transfer from my bank to the Wells Fargo that my hospital uses for its international patients. I just wasn't comfortable with the idea of carrying a giant cashier's check. My luck, I'd lose the damn thing on the way there.

I've seen enough Almanza patients on these boards to feel fairly sure that whatever payment method you choose should go smoothly. I don't think I've seen anyone complain that there was any sort of payment hiccup.

Good luck!

I will let you know that I cancelled my surgery with them recently and got my deposit back within 24 hours. I was very happy to see this.

My doctor has an account at Chase Manhattan. I didn't have to pay wire transfer fees, just went to a local Chase bank with his account number and deposited it for free...bet you can do that with just about any doctor that keeps an American bank account.
