I've narrowed my choices of Dr's. My decision will between Dr Almanza or Dr Jose Rodriguez.
I would appreciate any infromation good or bad about either one.

Thanks

I havent been to either but planning on surgery with Almanza.  They both seem like excellent drs from what I have read from their patients.  I think you would be happy with either one.

I was sleeved by Dr. Almanza on Jan 13. My mom had her lapband removed and was sleeved on Jan 14th.
No problems at all!
The price and care was fantastic!

Good luck with your decision.

I just had surgery with Dr. Almanza on Feb. 25th. Everything went wonderful and I am doing great now. You can check out my blog and read my entire experience with Dr. Almanza under my surgeon testimonial.

Early congratulations to you on your upcoming surgery.

I considered both physicians along with Aceves and chose Dr Rodriguez for my April VSG. The deciding factors for me were proximity to the east coast (in order to have shorter travel time after surgery) and staying in a full service hospital for the duration of my stay. I frequent the VSG board and all have very positive things to say about the recovery houses, but my family was more comfortable with me being in a hospital.

Good luck!

I was sleeved March 3 with Dr Almanza, Apparentlty he has done more sleeve surgeries than any other surgeon in the world.

How did your surgery go? Would you recommend them after the surgery. Also how were the facilities. I'm trying to make up my mind to go with Dr Almanza. I guess everyone is afraid of the unknown. What were your thoughts after you first got there.
Hope everything is going fine for you after your surgery.
