Have you spoken to an Almanza coordinator? They will have all of the answers to your questions and if you e-mail, you will have those answers in writing.
My coordinator, who works directly for the clinic and who I thought was excellent, is Melissa. I will private message (PM) her e-mail address to you.
I do know that this clinic runs promotional pricing -- you might want to ask about this as well -- that could have an impact on your booking time.
I do not know about the extra cost for high BMI.
I had the option of delivering a cashier's cheque.
Good luck with your research!
Your previous poster gave you good advice. i don't think it is more for higher BMI's mine was 54 and I had the same price as others.
I paid my deposit when I booked my surgery then took a cashiers check for the rest when I went.I booked my date in Sept 09 for Feb 18th 2010. I had to save the balance.
Welcome to the site,it is a tremendous source of information and encouragement.
Hope to see you posting again! What surgery are you looking at having?

I would advise you to get it in done in the U.S. Me and my mother got it down there, same dr. A hole started forming on my mom's stomach tissue, so she went back to mexico, same doc. to get it removed and a sleeve done. Within 4 hours of being home, we had to take her to the emergency room due to difficulties breathing, high temperatures, etc. The doctor down here had to do surgery immediately. While inside her, he found 5 abscess, pnemonia in her right lung, and plenty more. Nobody gave us instructions or medications to take afterwards. And DO NOT get their insurance unless something happens to you and you can get time from your life to go back down there again. My mom is living proof that bad things happen like this, and I'm living proof, so far, that sometimes people get lucky.

Whoa there... wait a minute. One surgeon does not set the tone for an entire country. There are many good surgeons AND many bad surgeons in the US and MX. It's not the country, it's the surgeon.
Things are in the works, things will be done.
