Dr Ponce DeLeon?

I have changed my mind and decided to get the sleeve. i was referred to a Dr Ponce DeLeon who i assume works in conjunction with Dr. Almanza. Has anyone heard of this Doctor? Had their surgery with him? Also... what are some recommendations of things i will def need when I leave for the surgery? i've got....

1 pair of flip flops
2 lounge pants
3 shirts
1 socks
bathroom must haves

what else should i take....? i am staying in the hospital the whole trip so i dont think i will be seeing the group house like most dr almanza patients.... any insight would be great!

Is Almanza "that" busy?
Is he the same price and did you go through Melissa?

Did someone with Dr. Almanza refer you to Dr. Ponce DeLeon?  I thought Dr. Almanza was the only bariatric surgeoin within his practice. 

If you went through Medical Tourism or something like that, they work with many different doctors but that doesn't mean those doctors are associated with each other.  MT is just a go-between for them.

Don't assume anything---know before you go!  I was just there a month ago and didn't hear this name at all.

Both surgeons are in Tijuana, but I really do not believe they are working "together".

It is my understanding that these two doctors do work together in the same clinic. I am scheduled with Dr. Almanza but I asked for an earlier date and was offered a date with Dr. Ponce DeLeon. No mention of going to a different clinic for this. I was speaking with Melissa. The website lists both Doctors as "Surgeon / Bariatric specialist" for this clinic.

As for things to bring... the lists before looks good... but for Dr. Almanza's (or DeLeon) recovery house... its probably best to bring a heating blanket because its chilly in the house. (I have heard)

purel sanitizer... can never be too careful...
a good book... pass the time
dvd's... I hear they have a dvd player in the rooms.
SugarFree Vitamin drops... incase your mouth gets dry (taste like candy)
bottled water... for your crystal light

and also a list of common medical spanish phrases... (just in case you don't speak spanish)...
like, I am in pain, I need to see the doctor, Can I have some water, etc. I have a really good long list I got from another doctor that will be very helpful, if needed. I've heard some reviews saying there isn't a translator around 24/7.

Oh also.. I remember reading somewhere that Dr. Almanza works in two different clinics? That could be the reason Dr Ponce DeLeon wasn't linked to Dr. Almanza. But like I said, the website and clinic I am going through shows Dr. Ponce De Leon (and his stats) on the website with Dr. Almanza and Melissa (coordinator) books for both.

I chose to go with Dr. Almanza because I couldnt find enough patient reviews for the other doctor in order to feel comfortable with it.

i have  heard of dr. deleon my mom had gotten the lap band done by him is was at bajanor in tijuana and her surgery went great and 150lbs lighter i was trying i find him but couldnt find him i i have found a new doc but what i know of deleon is good but you should do good research
