XPost...Just posted my play by play on my blog

It's really long....reaaaallllly long..... and I plan on writing another MUCH shorter blog to list everything that I would bring with me if I were to go all over again. 

My surgery was 1/13/10 and I am in the hotel waiting to fly home tomorrow.  My surgery was with Dr. Almanza Reyes in Tijuana, Mexico.

Read your great report and glad you are doing well.

I was wondering what was available for your husband to eat on your surgery day,while you were waiting for surgery,etc. Was there a cafe near the clinic or food there?

There was a 7-11 within walking distance from the clinic that he went to and had a sandwich.  He said it was gross :)  BUT, the staff at the hospital eats around noon everyday and they were always offering him to eat with them...he just felt bad.  For dinner that night, he ate what the staff had after they offered him multiple times :)  Thankfully it didn't look good to me but he said it was great and was a meat and rice Mexican dish.  They had a stocked refrigerator upstairs, too, where he could grab soda or water whenever he liked.  They truly were sooo accomodating to both of us and very conscientious that the people who "could" eat still needed to :)

That's great to know! I was planning on taking some snack pack crackers and stuff like that for him but would rather he had a good meal. I will tell him tpo accept the first time he is asked,LOL.

How are you doing? I am here in the Recovery House waiting on my surgery tomorrow. I cant wait but nervous too.....I wish we could have met. Good luck.

I am doing very well!  It's been exactly one week!  Last night I was able to roll around in bed (I like switching sides) and it wasn't bad!  Buying groceries was so bizarre.  A serving size isn't quite a serving size any more...lol
