Revision Surgery in Mexico?

Has anyone had a revision surgery in Mexico?  I have an old Molina band (1988) and I'm looking into a VSG.  I am quite nervous about going to Mexico to do surgery but even more nervous about a revision.

I went to Mexico for my band July 08 and right back to the same doc in Mexico in Sept 09 for my revision to the VSG....if I had to do it all over...would I????  IN A HEART BEAT :).  Love the docs and nurses and care givers in Mexico.  I had a wonderful experience.  That being said...this is a very personal choice and make sure you do a ton of research...but I found it to be the very best thing I have ever done for myself.   LOOOVE MY SLEEVE!!

Thanks for your post.  I appreciate it.  I am definitely going to get the surgery (I am self pay) but just a matter of who is going to do it.  Dr. Davis are very expensive but given I had the Molina band put in over 20 years ago, I am very concerned who can do that revision.  I am very nervous....  Thanks again though.

I had a revision with Dr. Zapata in Monterrey, MX on Jan 12th.  Put a lap-band over ny bypass but I believe he performs VSG as well.

It was an incredible experience!  He and his staff were unbelievable and he is extremely skilled AND compassionate.
