Pre op & post op diet for Dr Almanza?

What is the pre op and post op diet we have to follow for Dr Almanza? How long do you have to follow each phase? Thanks for any help. I'm getting excited and nervous for my up coming surgery 1/20/10, day before my birthday.  Yay!

i was told 3 days liqiud diet post op is hard doctor almanza said one week liquid but i an 2 week out and i am on pure and soft foods

For me the diet is for three days...
Three days before flying in, I have to take one laxative and then I'm on liquids...broths, anything clear and fruit juices...no sugar added...sugar free jello...if that gets to hard to handel I can add baked chicken or fish with a small dinner salad with low fat dressing and low sugar or no sugar...Oil and vinegar dressing; this is what I will be using..

   GOOD LUCK... THE PRE-OPP DIET IS TO SHRINK YOUR LIVER...
AND ALL DOCTORS HAVE DIFFFERNT RULES... I HAD TO BE ALL LIQUIDS FOR 10 DAYS PRE-  AND THEN THE SAME POST FOR 7 ... IT WAS TUFF... BUT ITS WORTH IT!!!
