What to bring for entertainment

I am scheduled for lap band on Dec 11 with Dr Rodriguez in Juarez. I am curious what to bring to the hospital to keep me busy. I have heard the TV selection isnt so great. Any ideas?

Book. Laptop. Handheld game, like a DS. Believe me, you'll spend a lot of time sleeping anyway.

I was just there on 12/19.  There are a few american stations, but it's not very good.  I would bring cards, magazines, books. 

Oh i figured that! I had my gallbladder out laparoscopically and I woke up about 8 hours later! Thanks for the advice

check to see if there will be a DVD player in your room (mine had 2), if not definately a laptop to check email and play movies...the rest of your entertainment will be dragging your IV to the bathroom and walking!  good luck!
