Dr. Miguel Zapata
Believe it or not, I too am a patient and have been on this board as a patient since 2000. I may work for a practice but I dont advocate on this board for any doctor, that would be harvesting and would be unethical. I have every right to post as a patient and I am sure you feel that any opinion offered other than your own is unproffessional. Most of us simply leave and let you control the forum, congratualtions!

I hope I'm not too late to put in my 2 cents worth. I had my VSG done by Dr. Zapata and I can vouch that he is an excellent surgeon. I did alot of research on this doctor, through references, the BBB, and talking to Judy from ready4achange.com. My father also checked him out too. I went to Mexico on Jan 29th and met with Dr. Zapata. I have to say he is the most competent, warm, compassionate man. He will answer all your questions no matter how many people are waiting in the waiting room of his office. The hospital was nice and the anestiologist explained to me in detail what was going to happen. I felt nervous but at the same time I knew everything was going to be alright! Had my surgery on Jan 30th, went back to the hotel the next day, and on Feb 1st I was walking around the mall across the street from the hotel. I came home to the states on Feb 2nd and 2 days later I went back to work for half a day. Since Jan 30th I have lost 65 pounds and am aiming for another 10-15 to lose. I'm a slow loser but I am very happy with my results. Going from a size 18 to a size 10, having more energy, feeling better....what more could I ask for? I will kiss Dr. Zapata's feet for my new life! If you have any more questions feel free to send me a message.
Had my sleeve done by Dr. Zapata in Monterrey. I am only 1 week post op and back in the US recovering. I am new to the whole journey, brand new to the site but cannot say enough about Dr. Zapata and his entire support staff. I have never received such individualized care from any health care support team in my life.
