Hiatal Hernia

I have a friend who will be traveling to Juarez with me for surgery. She had a hiatal hernia repair with a fundoplication a couple of years ago. Dr. Rodriguez says he will fix the hernia and place a lap-band. I am just curious if anyone else out there has had this done as well. She is really concerned about how it is going to be done. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Don't  know about the hernia repair with the lapband, but my Dr. fixed my hiatal hernia when he did my VSG surgery.
