Gastric sleeves in Mexico
I had my sleeve done about 14 mos ago with Dr Francisco Contreras. He doe not advertise on OH and most folks here don't know about him.
I have lost over 135 lbs and have maintained my weight for about 3 mos. I had NO problems post op, no GERD, no nausea with any foods, no reflux or many of the common issues I see posted on the board.
I flew to San Diego on a Friday and was back home in Phx on Monday. I was able to drink liquids easily right after surgery, could even take my pills within 2 days of surgery. I could have stayed in the hotel after surgery for several more days (it would have been covered) however since I was in no pain, not taking pain meds and could drink without problems, after discussing it with Dr C opted to come home sooner than planned.
Dr C saw me at least 3 times per day both in the hospital and the hotel. I got great, attentive medical care in the hospital from all the staff.
Please let me know if I can help in any way.

A lot of good surgeons in Mexico don't advertise and aren't listed on this website. Mine doesn't need any more business, he's really busy and people from the US still find him.

I went to Dr. Almanza for my surgery and have no reservations recommending him. I had a great experience and the price was very reasonable. They were very professional, the hospital was small but very clean and nice. I went through the website www.mexicoweightlosssurgery.com I have heard that the prices can be different depending on who you go through. I think this one is the lowest price.SMoran is a friend of mine. She doesn't want to go to a non board certified surgeon in a clinic in TJ.

what a shame that you can't read because his credentials are on his website. i am sure you want your friend to go to your surgeon so you can get your kick back!
*I* do not make kickbacks like you. Look at your posts, every single post you write is pushing people to your surgeon.
If your surgeon is board certified in surgery why doesn't the gov;t of Mexico know that?

He's not listed. He licensed, he's not board certified.

I have no idea if she actually gets kickbacks though that appears to be the pervailing belief. What I do know is she shows marked bias towards certain surgeons, that she refuses to give cites or sources for her facts, accuses other people of not being who they say they are and posts outrageous lies. She touts herself to be an "expert" on Mexican surgeons and surgery and has an avid following however, in my experience, she cannot and should not be trusted.

Everyone has my number, eh? I have NEVER pushed one surgeon, I have pushed the GOOD surgeons, ALL of them unlike YOU. You push Almanza non stop. I suggest the good surgeons, ALL of them.
Search your posts vs, ny posts. The truth is in the posts.
I have never been kicked off LBT, my ID there is WASaBubbleButt. Still posting, still writing. You big fat liar. But the Betancourt paid posters have been kicked off such as Fab by 50. She was kicked off the forum forever.
I was the Admin for VST. When Alex (owner of LBT) went to bed with betancourt I quit, (as did my counterpart Elisbethsew) because we wanted people to go to SAFE surgeons. You know, those surgeons that are board cerfified in surgery?
Maybe someday your surgeon Almanza will be able to pass that test for surgical board cerfified and he too, can be board certified.
Heh....

Oh I see, everyone else is a liar and you are telling the only one telling the truth. the way I heard it was that board owner fired you, I don't believe for one minute that you quit. you accuse everyone that doesn't agree with you of being a paid poster. that is so funny! you are mad because no one believes you anymore. you have been found out. the ultimate paid poster and troll! keep talking no one is buying!!!! I'll say again that I have no "proof" that she is paid by Aceve's office however I may be only one that does not accept this as fact.
She does make wild accusations and some of what she says borders on libel, I know I check with an attorney when she continued to post that I was not who I said I was and further posted that she had "proof" of this. Not that she ever showed her proof mind you.
In my more benevolent moments (this is NOT one of those moments) I feel sorry for her and seriously think she needs psychiatric help. In the other moments I allow her bull crap to get under my skin.
The bottom line is she is a liar and should not be trusted. I have no problem with Aceves he is probably an excellent surgeon and his patients certainly seem to like him. I am not sure she is helping him all that much because so many folks see that she lacks credibility in much of what she posts.

No, not everyone else is a liar. Just you.
I posted the proof, show me where your surgeon is board certified in surgery. Here is the link of ALL board certified surgeons in Mexico:
www.cmcgac.org.mx/
Is your doctor listed there or not? You are great at throwing around accusations, back one up for once. Just one.
I do not accuse everyone of being a paid poster, just the obvious folks such as you. Check out your own posting history. You push and push and push for everyone to go to Almanza.
Prove just one of your bizarre accusations. Just one and we'll be happy.

Okay - that's clear enough. Trouble is, I don't know how often doctors are supposed to recertify to maintain their board certified status. The list of pass/non-pass recertifications for 2009 is really unhelpful, since there's no key to match folio numbers with surgeons that I can find:
http://www.cmcgac.org.mx/resultados_recertificacion2009.html
So... what does it all mean? Can anyone shed a little (polite) light?
Thanks in advance!
