Anyone know anything about this doctor? I received an e-mail that said he charges only $7500 all-inclusive for Gastric Bypass and would like to know more.

If anyone also has recomendations/stories about Gastric Bypass (not really interested in band) surgeries in Mexico, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,
Leanne.

I think he is doing mainly open surgeries. Don't know if it is what you are looking for...The price is very low!

I went to Dr.joya for my sleeve but he has also a very good reputation for the RNY. They were 2 patients doing RNY at the same time as me and they were doing great!

I went to Dr. Aguirre. It was a great experience, he took wonderful care of me. I have lost 190 pounds and have not had any complications. He had a great bedside manner and has responded very quickly via emails about any concerns that I have had since I returned.

I paid more than that amount 2 years ago. I imagine he dropped his price a little because he only does the open procedure and it's difficult to compete with those who do laparoscopic. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi my name is Beth,
I am leaving for Ensenada on Jan 8, 2011 just 2 weeks to go. I am so looking forward to getting my new life started. how are you doing now? Any problems? Did you have to hook up with a dietician when you returned home? My family Physican has said that he will help me, so for right now that is what I am planning. It sounds like you have had great success. I am proud of you, I know that it has been along way getting there.
Do you have any advise that you could give for heading down, or maybe I have pretty much heard it all by now. i have researched it to death my husband thinks, but I still look for more information.:) Dr. Aguirre is doing my surgery, he seems like a great man. We have emailing and talking on the phone now for about 4 months.
I know that it has been several years since you had your surgery but would love to here from you.

thanks so much
Beth

Hey Beth,

I'm sorry I am just now getting back to you but I just had a thigh lift and was completely out of it for a couple of weeks.

I am doing great. I have maintained my weight loss and have not had any complications. I did not see a dietician although I don't think it would be a bad idea. I just focus on my protein and portion sizes (now that I'm this far out). I can eat just about anything I want as long as I go easy on the sugar. I think the world of Dr. Aguirre. He changed my life and he is a very compassionate and skilled surgeon. His staff was great and I was very comfortable during my hospital stay. You will do great! Let me know how everything is going!

Yes, he's a good and safe surgeon. But do be aware, he only does full open incisions and not lap so your recovery will be much longer.

The band got me to goal, the sleeve will keep me there.
