Hi All!  My hubby and I are going to Piedras Negras at the end of May for our for VSG surgery. Considering the recent violence in Piedras Negras and the 'swine flu'outbreak in San Antonio and Mexico- do you think we should postpone, or is that over-reacting??

Does anyone know if there is any place in Piedras Negras to buy medicine (ie: Tamiflu), just in case??

Thanks to all!!

Wow that was quite the late breaking news!
We ll you are escorted across the border both ways. I wouldnt worry about that.
There is crime in every place in the whole world.
Look at America.. its pry the worst of all.
Rosey will make you feel cam and she grew up there so if you are nervous she will be able to
help in any fears you may have.
about the place to pick up meds. contact susan and she will find out for you.
Keep`n the Faith

I have to tell you that I live in Atlanta and the news has horrible crimes on it every day.  Its just  the world we live in - and I am sure its the same in NC.

I will NOT be postponing unless the feds close the border.  Folks work in hospitals next to horribly sick people every day and do not come home with every funk that the folks they care for have.

I hope you can have some peace about going, or postpone if that is what you need to help you have some peace.   There is enough stress about the Procedure itself without having to worry about possibly catching a bug, ya know?
