Aftercare & Support Groups

What do you do for aftercare?  I am currently in the process of trying to get a sleeve but I've been trying and in the process since Oct '08 and I haven't even had an official weigh-in.  I am becoming frustrated and looking at self-pay in Mexico or a different doctor here in the states.

I had my surgery with Dr. Joya in PV and went alone.  I had to LAP sleeve with no problems.  Once released from the hospital, I went to a very nice hotel on the beach which was part of my surgery package.  One of Dr. Joya's assistants (also doctors) came by to see me each morning.  I was able to change my own bandages and take care of myself.  By the 4th day, I was walking the beach and having a great time.  There were other ladies there who came by themselves and we enjoyed our chicken broth together at the restaurant on the beach.  I would love to go back for a real vacation.  It was beautiful there.  I was off work for only 1 week but could have gone back before that week was up....but why.
