How much is the DS surgery with Dr. Ungson in Hermosillo Mexico.

Depends on if you want it done laparscopically or open. If price is a factor, you may want to check with Dr. Marchesini in Brazil. He does it both laparscopically and open, but his open price can't be beat. Plus, he's a world class surgeon.

Dr. Ungson is the ONLY doctor I would trust to do the DS in MX. I believe there are two doctors in Brazil that do the DS, but I only have experience with Dr. M. E-mail him - he's awesome.

Dr. Ungson charges $16k for lap DS, *****eaper for open...$12k I think

I'm 4 wks post-op from an open DS with Ungson ~ feel free to ask any questions you have. Like someone else said, $12k open, $16k laparoscopic.

Did you revise from a previous failed surgery? How long did you stay in Mx following surgery? When can you return to work?

Do you mean me? This is my first (hopefully only!) WLS. I stayed a total of 10 days & arrived there the day before surgery. I returned to work at 6 weeks. If someone's a revision, I believe Ungson will only do it open & charges $16k for it b/c it's harder to perform.
