RNY w/ Dr. Joya on 2/23
HI!
I just wanted to see if there is any others that will be in PV the week of the 23rd? I'll be there from 02/22 -03/03.
Also, if you've gone to Joya, can anyone tell me what is around the hospital and how far is it from the hotel? My mom will be going with me and she wants to know what all is there.

Hi there....
I had surgery on Oct 1st last year. I don't remember much of what was around the hospital because I didn't venture out and I was alone but I do know that there is a big grocery store within walking distance on the same side of the road as the hotel and Walmart is just a very short cab drive away from the hotel.
If you read my profile, you can get some ideas of what I wish I had with me.
Good luck to you... Not that you will need it because you have the best surgeon ever doing your procedure.

I'm 3 years post op (Lap Band), so won't be in PV although I'd love to be there for a vacation! If you need an escort for your surgery, just let me know. . .LOL!
About now, I'm sure you are doing the happy dance more and more as each day brings you closer to your surgery date. A few weeks before my surgery, I think I drove my husband nuts! You might go through some mixed emotions too, but that's normal, so don't panice if you start getting nervous or second guessing yourself. Most of us go through that!
Keep us posted and the date gets closer and lean on us for pre op support.
