Surgery

I have been very nervous about what Dr to have my RNY with I finally decided on Dr. Pompa I have a surgery date it has been such a long and hard road to get here.  I been through alot with my last surgeon I was surpose to have my lapband removed but I had some problems but the lapband was removed and I paid alot of  money just to remove the lapband I also had such a bad experience with the Dr. I found out he wasn't as nice as he acted after getting alot of money from me he wasn't willing to work with me to help me out I guess money means more to some people than you may think.  I was worried I might not be selecting the right Dr.  however I have talked alot with Dr. Pompa and finally decided on a date on 2/19/09 please pray for me I hope this time all goes well.

it will work for you! going through any WLS is a very long and winding road, but the end result is SOOOO worth it.The good thing is you did your research w/ Dr Poompa....you can only go up from here!  please keep us posted with your experience!!

I am in the same boat as you. I had the lap band done in Mexico but only lost 7 pounds before they found a leak in my port. So now I am considering the Mini Gastric Bypass and the doctor I have been thinking of is Dr. Pompa. Please let me know how your experience with her goes. Thanks a lot and I wish you a speed recovery.
