i got a date!!! OMG 2/17/09

ok i got a date, i got my passport, and most of my money!!!  and am soooo exited...of course the negative people tend to bring you down some and kinda put some fears in your head!!!  but no way am backing down i waited too long  and my stomach is in a knot!!! OMG I GOT A DATE  I GOT A DATE!!!!

Congratulations!  I know how excited you must be!

You know, people are negative because they have a lot of misinformation and they love you and want you to be safe.  Just remember that they love you and that they are scared and it's o.k. for them to be scared.  You can just let them know that you appreciate their love and concern but that you have done a lot of research and feel very confident in your decision.  If they persist in being negative tell them that you are happy to get shar with them some of the good information that helped you make your decision and feel good about what you are now doing but otherwise it's not open for discussion.  Just love 'em through it but let them know you won't allow them to spread negative energy at this point.  They will be just fine and so will you!!

Awesome!  I'm so excited for you (& wish I were you!).  I know what you mean about people bringing you down with the negatives.  It is a risk, but an acceptable one given the risks of being obese, which are far greater in the long run.

Congrats!  I am hoping to get a date of 2/23 with Joya if I can get my financing worked out soon.
