DS in Mexico

I know that Dr, Ungson does the DS in Mexico, however can anyone tell me what he charges for it? and Is there any other Dr.'s in Mexico that do the DS. I've heard such good things about the Surgoens over there that I am considering Mexico.

I know a doctor in Mex. that does the DS but also the other proceedures to. He is out of Monterrey. I don't what he charges  but I know him personally and he is a wonderful person and a great surgeon. emal me if you want his info.

Mexico has great surgeon, but they do have bad ones too. You must do your research and Obesity help is great for that. I had my surgery back in 2001 and most of the info I got beforehand came from here.

I think that if you go the DS board here they will be able to give you more info, they are a great group and very vocal about their doctors and what not. I had RNY in PV with Dr Joya and he is great don't think he does DS..

I'm saving money to self pay in Mexico with Dr. Ungson.  I'm going open just because it's cheaper.  The price includes everything hospital and Dr. wise.  Someone can even stay in the room with you.  You stay in Hospital for 4 days (for open) and in hotel 5-7 days.   They provide transportation to/from hospital/airport/hotel.  You have to provide airfare and hotel expenses.  They check on you everyday in the hotel.  I've heard 12K for open.
